English Department Scholarship

One award of $1000. Must have at least 12 units completed at CCC by the end of the current semester (spring) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must be enrolled full-time at the time of application (spring semester), or 6 units for DSPS students, and return to CCC as a full-time student for the upcoming fall semester majoring in English, Journalism, or Creative Writing. Must have demonstrated strong performance in English 1A and either English 1B, 1C or 2B, with a grade of B or better. Must also attach a graded essay from one of those courses.
